If we "combine all peoples into one class of insureds" then you are no longer talking about "insurance" because you will no longer be managing any types of risk. What you would have is universal health care, free access for all and for all at the same price.
So I believe it is unfair for the letter writer to criticize Sessions for a game he isn't even talking about. It is clear that Katy Rowe wants universal health care. Yes, the smoker analogy was terrible. He probably should have stuck with car insurance and teenage drivers. Because teenagers are younger, they will most likely use their car insurance more, therefore their rates are higher.
Women access the health industry more than men, therefore, they will pay more than men for care. Families pay more for insurance, and I don't see anyone getting their panties in the wad over that. Insurance is a business meant to manage risk; it is not a charity.
