I was really surprised last weekend when my husband gave me a car key. I never thought that he was really serious when he told me during my birthday that I will receive my dream car. So I planned several vacation trips for the family. My children can’t wait for these coming holidays. I can even save more if I buy the car insurance online. I found several rates from reputable companies and discussed it to my husband. After sometime, we have agreed and have chosen the best rates we ever found. When I get back to my budget plan, I realized now how much savings I could get every month. Because of this, I could already plan for the family’s vacation next summer.

Consumer Satisfaction SurveyA recent study conducted by Mintel Comperemedia, a company that conducts surveys, that looked at how happy the average American is with their car insurance . The study found that on average about half of all Americans are happy with their car insurance companies. While this may not seem like that much, it has reached an all time high. Also according to the study only about 62% of Americans comparison shop when their insurance is about to expire.
What This Means For ConsumersWhat this study indicates is that while about half of all Americans are pleased with their car insurance, half are still unhappy. The unhappy half of the drivers are the ones driving the heated competition between some of the bigger insurance companies. This parlays into great savings for consumers who are willing to shop around.
Why It’s Good To Shop AroundEven if you stay with an insurance company for several years you may not be getting the best rate. Insurance companies constantly reassess their premiums. So if you were getting the cheapest premium available when you initially signed on with the company, you may not have the cheapest available in a few years or even a few months. This is why it pays to shop around.
